Our Jesus Cares Program
St. Paul and Grace (Our sister church in Sugar Bush) are excited to announce our new Jesus Cares Program which provides individuals with special needs the opportunity to hear God's Word, participate in activities and engage in fellowship with family members, volunteers and community members.
Once a month, we host a special worship service called "Worship at the Cross" at St. Paul. This is a simplified service that follows a format appropriate for people with a cognitive disability, including people with forms of dementia. Pictures and symbols lead participants through the parts of the service. Our goal with this service is to provide a comfortable time and place for anyone with developmental or intellectual disabilities and their families to worship their loving God! These services are held the first Thursday of every month at 5:30pm!
The reason for this program finds its drive in the great commission where Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel (good news) to all nations!" We certainly believe this includes everyone with special needs. The power of this program comes from the Holy Spirit who has the amazing ability to produce faith in all through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God.
We hope that you will join us for this exciting ministry!
