Worship attendance is slipping in most Christian congregations. God who created us is pleased is pleased when we give thanks for all that He has done. We all need to be found in His house of worship to grow in His wisdom and in His grace.
If God commanded that we honor the “Sabbath Day”, why do we worship on Sunday?
Let’s remember that Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness to everyone that believes. Therefore, we are to stand fast in the liberty where with Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
We Christians have a liberty in Christ. In witness of our Christian liberty, we worship on Sunday and do not keep the Sabbath-Day of the Old Testament.
Every day is a good day for worship. Christians worship on Sunday for it was the first day of the week when the Father began creation of the world, when Christ rose from the dead, when the Holy Spirit established the Christian Church.
Furthermore, we have a “Sabbath Lord” in Jesus Christ. When His Word dwells in us richly, then we have our true Sabbath, rest for our soul in Jesus. Let’s worship every day. Amen
Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.
