Our people are intimidated by "political correctness", which is out of the Marxist handbook. The idea of tolerance had taken the place of truth. If we understand God's Word, there's no need to be a reluctant witness, but rather to adopt the boldness of the Apostles. We need not only to be examples to our children, but also to members of our congregation.
THE RELUCTANT WITNESS
Toleration is a contradiction of truth. Our society is intimidated by political correctness and evidenced in churches. There’s no need to be a reluctant witness.
“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” (1 Peter 3:15) When displaying your confidence and hope in Christ Jesus, eventually someone will ask you the reason for your hope, and then you have an open invitation to introduce the love of God in Christ Jesus.
Practice this approach with those whom you love, after which, you advance into more hostile areas. Let the Holy Spirit do the work; He’s much more efficient than we. “Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.” Matthew 10:16.
Practicing and sharing love opens doors that otherwise are shut tight. Gentleness and generosity are most attractive when serving our God and Savior.
With society awry, it’s time to be a bold witness to God’s love in Christ Jesus.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes. Romans 1:16
