On some cold January days, members from across our synod gathered in Chicago. Around 1,600 sisters and brothers in Christ attended the WELS National Conference on Lutheran Leadership, which was near the capacity for the location! Pastor Rothfuss, along with a third of the pastors in our synod attended this year. Of the total attendees, 56% were lay leaders, including Chuck. The Lutheran Leadership Conference was a great opportunity for us to walk together as a synod as we work to better serve out the mission of the Church. Attendees learned from each other through several keynote presentations and specialized breakout presentations.
