On some cold January days, leaders from across our synod gathered in Chicago. Around 1,600 sisters and brothers in Christ attended the WELS National Conference on Lutheran Leadership, which was near the capacity for the location! Pastor Rothfuss, along with a third of the pastors in our synod attended this year. Of the attendees, 56% were lay leaders, including Chuck. The Lutheran Leadership Conference was a great opportunity for us to walk together as a synod. Attendees learned from each other and encouraged each other to better serve the Church. There were keynote presentations along with specialized breakout ones.
