On September 20, 2026, we celebrated a Ministry Sunday/Mission Festival. Our church had the honor of having Pastor Mark Luetzow, President of Michigan Lutheran Seminary, come to preach and present. MLS is one of our synod’s preparatory high schools that has truly blessed our church body. The school prepares students to be Called workers and lay leaders for our church. They are known for creating opportunities to let the students get early ministry experiences. That helps them decide if they want to go on to serve as a pastor, teacher, or staff minister in the church, and helps them see themselves in that role. This school has sent many students on to continue their education to serve, including our current and our previous pastors!
We are extremely grateful for all that Michigan Lutheran Seminary does, and that President Luetzow took the time to come to our congregation. This month we are collecting a free-will offering to send to Michigan Lutheran Seminary for student tuition assistance.
