About Pastor Rothfuss

Caleb Matthew Rothfuss, the son of Rusty and Cathy Rothfuss, was born in Bay City, Michigan. He became a child of God through Holy Baptism at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bay City, MI. He attended St. John's Grade School and graduated from Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, MI in 2011. He gained the Bachelor of Arts degree from Martin Luther College, New Ulm, Minnesota in 2017, and completed his studies for the pastoral ministry at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, earning the Master of Divinity degree in 2021. He served as a vicar under Pastor Ken Brokmeier at Our Savior in Brookings, South Dakota and as ministry assistant at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Wauwatosa, WI. On June 25, 2021 Pastor Rothfuss was married to Amanda Van Swol at St. John's Lutheran Church.

On July 18, 2021, he was ordained as a minister and installed as pastor here at St. Paul Clintonville. As a church family, we are extremely thankful for Pastor Rothfuss and his service here. It is a privilege and a blessing to work with him as we study God’s Word and live our faith.
